Viktor tries not to dad at Misty. He tries really hard and he’s successful…. most of the time.
Misty doesn’t drive, so she walks/buses to work every morning. That’s fine with Viktor, especially since she’s very rarely late. However he refuses to let her walk home alone at night, and if Jackie isn’t there to pick her up for whatever reason, he drives her home himself. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
Misty is often the one to bring in coffee for both she and Vik in the morning, and she takes it upon herself to find the best coffee places in their area. She knows exactly how Viktor takes his coffee, and she’s very adamant that the person making it gets it right. Misty’s favorite place really piles on the whipped cream that she gets on her drink, and Viktor swears he can feel his bloodsugar spike just looking at it.
Having Misty act as a sort of nurse/assistant to Viktor wasn’t originally planned at all, Misty has her own buisness to worry about after all, it was just supposed to be a matter of them sharing the space and splitting the rent to make things easier on the both of them. One day early on though, she had gone down to bring Viktor some lunch and ended up walking in on a rather messy scene of Viktor trying to save the life of a patient that had come through one of the back alleys rather than through Misty’s shop. She was stunned at first, but as soon as Viktor asked her to bring him something so that he wouldn’t have to step away, she did, and she stayed across from him on the other side of the patient helping out immensely for the rest of the procedure by doing everything he asked of her. Viktor was surprised at how well she handled it all, almost seeming entirely unfazed by it. The patient lived, and afterwards Viktor and Misty sat down and had their lunch while working out something a little more concrete between them about an actual partnership. They’re both healers after all, and Misty doesn’t mind dipping into the physical side as well as spiritual once in a while.
Misty lives alone, so the first couple of nights after the heist, Viktor invited her to stay over with him, mostly so she wouldn’t be alone, but also so that he could keep an eye on her and make sure she was alright. It was weird and awkward as all hell, but at the same time very comforting and she was glad that she accepted his offer all the same. She only stayed over 2 nights but just spending the time in Viktor’s company made it easier to handle.
Viktor has taught Misty some self defense moves, and a few boxing moves as well, just in case she ever needs it to protect herself. Misty doesn’t really care for it because she doesn’t much like the idea of fighting but she knows it’s important to be safe. She once managed to get one good swing in past Viktor’s guard and gave him a bloody nose that surprised them both. He laughed it off, she was in tears over it.
If it’s a particularly slow day in her shop, Misty will close up early and head down to keep Viktor company untill Jackie comes to get her. Sometimes she just talks with him, sometimes he lets her paint his nails while they sit around watching a boxing match… sometimes they just sit and enjoy each other’s company without even interacting.
Misty is the one behind all the beckoning cats in Viktor’s clinic. She says it’s to liven the place up a little and make it a little more friendly to patients. Viktor’s pretty sure it’s more because she accidentally ordered 50 of them, and she needs something to do with the extra ones that won’t sell fast enough…
